Every photographer has their own photography and editing style, so it’s important to make sure my style and the package you choose align with what you’re looking for. I’ve included the most commonly asked questions below so you’ll know exactly what to expect before, during, and after your session.

When to book the maternity session?

It’s best to book your session around the 2nd trimester, booking early to secure your spot, as I only take a limited number of sessions each month.

When should the maternity session be scheduled?

Usually, the maternity session is scheduled between 28-34 weeks, depending on the size of the belly. I’ve met many expectant mothers who booked the session after 34 weeks and experienced significant swelling in their hands and feet, which couldn’t be edited.

Do you provide maternity gowns?

Yes!! I have a large collection of maternity gowns in various sizes that are free to use. You are also welcome to bring your own outfits if you prefer.

Are we able to purchase more photos?

You’ll receive the exact number of photos included in the package you’ve booked. If you’d like additional photos, you have the option to purchase extra images from the selection link. Raw images are not provided, as they are copyright-protected. Clients often choose to add additional images. Each additional maternity digital image is $40+taxes, professionally retouched, and delivered in high resolution.

What if I don’t like the editing style? Can I get the raw images as well?

My photography and editing style is an important part of my finished work. All images displayed on my website, portfolio, and social media accurately represent the photography style, level of retouching, and overall finished look you can expect from your final gallery. I highly recommend reviewing my portfolio carefully before booking to make sure my style aligns with your expectations.

My classic and luxury maternity sessions include my signature fine art retouching, consistent with the finished images shown throughout my portfolio. This editing style is an integral part of these packages and cannot be changed to a natural, minimally retouched, unretouched, or RAW-style look.

If you prefer a more natural, minimally retouched, or RAW-style look, I recommend choosing my lifestyle maternity session instead. Lifestyle maternity session does not include body reshaping and only include basic skin smoothing. If you prefer no skin retouching at all, please let me know before editing begins, and I can leave your skin naturally unretouched while still applying my standard colour, exposure, and overall finishing adjustments.

Since every photographer has their own unique photography and editing style, it’s important to choose a photographer whose work matches your expectations and personal preferences. If neither of my editing styles aligns with what you’re looking for, I kindly recommend choosing a photographer whose style is a better fit for you.

By booking a session with me, you acknowledge that you have reviewed and accepted the photography and editing style associated with your selected package. Final images will be professionally edited and retouched according to that established style. Minor retouching adjustments may be considered at the photographer’s discretion; however, requests to change the overall editing style, remove standard retouching, or re-edit images in a different style are not included.

RAW or unedited images are not provided, as they are unfinished work and do not represent the final quality or artistic standard of my brand.

What if I prefer the RAW/unedited images in the selection gallery and don’t like the edited photos? Can I have the RAW images instead of or in addition to the edited images?

After your photoshoot, I’ll send you a selection gallery so you can choose the number of images included in your package for final editing. The photos in this gallery are straight out of the camera and are provided for photo selection purposes only. They are RAW/unedited previews and unfinished images, so they do not represent my photography and editing style, the quality of my finished work, or the final product you will receive.

Please do not use the unedited selection previews as a reference when comparing them to your final edited images. If you would like to know what your finished gallery will look like, please refer to the completed images displayed on my website, portfolio, and social media. Your final images will be professionally edited and retouched in a style consistent with the finished work shown throughout my portfolio.

The RAW/unedited look shown in the selection gallery is not an alternative editing style or final product that I offer. RAW or unedited images are not provided, either instead of or in addition to the final edited images, and are not available for purchase.

If you prefer the straight-out-of-camera, unedited look over the finished style shown in my portfolio, my photography service may not be the right fit for what you’re looking for. Editing and retouching are an essential part of my finished work, so I highly recommend reviewing my portfolio carefully before booking to make sure my photography and editing style align with your expectations.

Can we add additional family members to the session?

Except for the classic maternity session, which is mommy-to-be only, all other maternity packages include the partner and own kids. Additional family members are welcome to join the session for an add-on fee of $50+taxes per person. The number of images included in your package remains the same, the add-on fee covers the additional time for photographing and editing.

When can I receive my gallery?

After the session, I’ll send you the selection link within 2 days once full payment is received on the session day. After you select your package photos, I’ll begin editing. The standard turnaround time is 2–4 weeks. During busy seasons such as fall and Christmas, turnaround may extend to approximately 3–6 weeks. If you’d like to receive your gallery within one week, I can prioritize your edits for an additional rush fee of $300.
